Having made her decision, Alison began on
the long journey to a new career!
The first step was to enrol in and successfully qualify in a Basic Micropigmentation
Course. Qualification in this course allows one to become a 'permanent (also called semi-permanent) make-up technician'.
Many students stop at this point, happy with being such a technician.
Alison's aims were far, far higher!
Having successfully qualified from this course in the north of England, she then underwent extensive and intensive
training at the American Institute for Intradermal Cosmetics in Dallas, Texas.
Returning to the UK as a qualified
and recognised Advanced Intradermal Cosmetic Technician, Alison trained even further in Harley Street, London.
After
two years, she had gained Masterclass Diplomas in 'Advanced Micropigmentation', 'Micropigmentation
& Tattoo Removal' and the much coveted 'Teacher Training In Micropigmentation'. Alison also
received 'The Award Of Excellence In Areola Repigmentation & Scar Camouflage' from Derma Star,
a highly recognised institute in the USA.
She also received yet a further award from the British Association of
Skin Camouflage in Skin Camouflage Techniques.
Never one to stand still, and following the opening of her own Non-Surgical
Aesthetic Treatment Centre, The Sherborne Clinic, Alison trained in Collagen Induction Therapy, an anti-ageing treatment that
also has excellent results on cellulite and stretch marks! She was trained through the eminent South African Consultant Plastic
Surgeon, Dr Des Fernandes, who is globally recognised as the Godfather of Collagen Induction (aka Skin Needling) and the Chief
Medical Advisor to Environ, the company which provides Collagen Induction Therapy products.
There are 3 disciplines
to Collagen Induction Therapy, Cosmetic, Medical & Surgical, and Alison successfully qualified in all 3! She is also a
recognised tutor in the first 2 disciplines, Cosmetic & Medical, which would fullfil virtually all of the procedures
that Beauty Therapists or Micropigmentation Technicians would need.
She also underwent training in Bioslimming,
probably the best inch-loss programme available, and subsequently qualified as both a practitioner and tutor.
